About A545RC
The Absolute 545 Running Club has been an organic process that was born in April 2012 at a local Gosport running specialist, Absolute Running.
Customers and staff went for a social, end-of-day run just after the shop closed and it was so much fun, a decision was made to repeat it every Wednesday at 5:45. The rest is history, but although the shop may now have gone, the community has grown, and the social running group evolved into Absolute 545 RunClub, which is affiliated with the Association Of Running Clubs (ARC).
The rules are simple:
If you want to enjoy running in a supportive environment and community, we could be for you. There are no expectations or obligations to attend club runs. There is no pressure to represent the club at events. Just run for fun.
For those who want a little more, we offer training sessions that are led by UKA-qualified running leaders or Coaches and amongst our number, we have a wealth of experience in all areas of running.
Our club’s mission statement is to make running fun and support one another.
Membership Price
Membership is £10 a year, which allows us to ensure that our sessions are insured, and any residual income goes towards sponsoring a junior athlete each year. We have one rule in our constitution… be nice.
